How buying works

  1. Choose a year or a month. Polar’s checkout page opens.
  2. Pay there. Polar charges your card and adds the VAT.
  3. Your key is shown on Polar’s confirmation page, and emailed to you.
  4. In Keylark, open Your plan and paste the key in. Every song is unlocked. The thank-you page says the same, step by step.

Money back

Ask within 30 days of your first payment and you get your money back, with no questions asked. A renewal is refunded too, if you ask within 14 days of it. How to ask

Cancelling

Cancel any time in Polar’s customer portal. Your plan then ends when the period you have paid for ends, and you have every song until then. Receipts are there too.

Computers and offline

One key works on up to 3 computers. Keylark checks the key with Polar now and then. If there is no connection, for instance at a venue with no Wi-Fi, it keeps working for 30 days, and it never stops a song in the middle.

Who sells it

Polar is our reseller and merchant of record. That means Polar is the company that sells Keylark to you: it charges your card, handles the VAT and sends your receipt. We make Keylark and look after support. Your purchase is under Polar’s terms for buyers, which its checkout shows, and under our terms. Polar’s own privacy policy covers what it holds about you as a buyer.

Questions about paying

Does it renew by itself?

Yes. A yearly plan renews each year and a monthly plan each month, until you cancel. Cancel in Polar’s customer portal and it ends when the period you have paid for ends.

What happens if I stop paying?

Keylark goes back to the free version: play along by ear on any song, and the full chords on your 3 free songs. The songs it has learned stay on your computer until you forget them in Your songs.

Do I need to pay to try it?

No. The demo song and your free songs have the full chords, and playing along by ear works on any song, so you can hear what Keylark does before you pay anything.

Where do I find my receipt, or my key again?

In Polar’s customer portal. Polar emails the key and the receipt when you buy, and both are in the portal afterwards.
