100 words
Keylark is for singers who don’t play the piano. Start a song, plug in a MIDI keyboard or use your computer’s keys, and press keys in time. Keylark listens to the song and picks every note from the chords it hears, so you keep the rhythm and it picks the notes. The first time through, it plays along by ear while it learns the song. Played again, it knows every chord change before it comes. Nothing you play or hear leaves your computer. It works in Chrome or Edge on a computer, and is free to start, with no account.

Keylark lets you play along to any song tonight, without learning it. It is made first for singers who don’t play the piano.
You start a song, plug in a MIDI keyboard or use your computer’s keys A to K, and press keys in time. Keylark listens to the song and picks every note from the chords it hears. You decide when a note sounds; Keylark decides which note. The left hand plays the bass and the right hand the chords. It has Chords and Solo modes, a grand piano and an electric piano, and MIDI out for other programs.
A song is played twice. The first time through, Keylark plays along by ear while it learns the song, and it is least sure just after a chord changes. Played again, it knows every change before it comes. Song files and the demo are learned before they play.
Keylark runs in Chrome or Edge on a computer: in the side panel beside a YouTube tab, through an extension, or on its own web page, which hears a tab, opens a song file such as an MP3, or plays the demo. It does not work in Safari, Firefox, or on an iPad or phone.
Nothing you play or hear leaves your computer. Keylark keeps only chord names and times, in the browser, and a song can be forgotten at any time.
It is free to start, with no account. A yearly or monthly plan unlocks the full chords on every song.
